New Delhi: India has joined the United States and 24 other countries in a new international initiative aimed at shaping the development of next-generation 6G networks.
The initiative seeks to promote the development of future telecommunications networks in a manner that reflects shared security priorities, strengthens global competitiveness and encourages technological innovation.
The announcement came after a meeting between Jitin Prasada, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, and US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick on the sidelines of the G20 Innovation Ministerial in Miami.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the evolving 6G ecosystem and opportunities for greater international cooperation in advanced telecommunications technologies.
