Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary visited flood-affected areas of Vaishali and Saran districts and reviewed relief and rehabilitation measures being undertaken for affected residents.
During his visit, the Chief Minister inspected relief camps in Hajipur and Sonpur, interacted with people staying at the camps and took stock of the arrangements being provided to them.
Choudhary also personally served food to flood victims and shared a meal with them, underscoring the government’s commitment to standing with people during the crisis.
Financial assistance was also provided to disaster-affected families, while the Chief Minister assured that farmers whose crops have been damaged by the floods would receive appropriate compensation.
Choudhary said the government would remain with the people “at every problem, every step” and directed officials to ensure there are no shortcomings in public safety, relief operations or assistance to those affected by the floods.
