New Delhi : Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu met a delegation of BJP workers and party functionaries from Sonbhadra at his office and discussed the district’s development journey and future growth prospects.
Sandhu said his association with the people of Sonbhadra began nearly eight years ago when, during his tenure as a Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh, he adopted the district under the Aspirational Districts initiative.
He said the progress achieved by Sonbhadra demonstrated that districts with significant potential could deliver transformative results through focused attention, sustained support and access to additional resources.
During the interaction, Sandhu and the delegation discussed how Sonbhadra’s experience reflected the impact of effective governance, community participation and development-oriented interventions.
He also said the district’s journey showed what could be achieved when government efforts and community involvement worked together to promote inclusive and sustainable development.
