NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson Ashok Kumar Lahiri Visits Acharya Bhavan in Kolkata

Kolkata : Ashok Kumar Lahiri, Vice Chairperson of NITI Aayog, visited Acharya Bhavan, the historic Kolkata residence of renowned scientist Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose and his distinguished wife Lady Abala Bose, on Saturday.

During the visit, Shri Lahiri interacted with the Managing Trustees of Acharya Bhavan and took note of the institution’s heritage, atmosphere and ongoing efforts to preserve and develop the historic premises.

The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss the future development and institutional potential of Acharya Bhavan. Shri Lahiri shared several constructive suggestions aimed at further strengthening the institution and enhancing its role in preserving the legacy associated with the Bose family.

Expressing optimism about its future, the NITI Aayog Vice Chairperson said that with continued efforts, collective support and a clear vision, Acharya Bhavan has the potential to develop into a world-class institution in the years ahead.

The visit underlined the importance of preserving India’s scientific heritage while exploring new avenues to make historically significant institutions more vibrant and relevant for future generations.
