Jalandhar : The National Commission for Women (NCW) launched its “Yashoda AI” initiative in Jalandhar, Punjab, aimed at promoting digital empowerment among women and encouraging greater participation in emerging technologies.
During her visit, NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar chaired a review meeting with senior district administration officials to assess issues related to women’s safety, security and protection in the district.
Rahatkar also inaugurated the “She Serves” programme at a women’s college in Jalandhar. The initiative seeks to encourage young women to explore career opportunities in the Armed Forces and promote greater participation of women in the defence sector.
The initiatives reflect the NCW’s focus on expanding opportunities for women in technology, public service and national security, while strengthening mechanisms for their safety and protection.
