New Delhi : The Embassy of India in Bhutan welcomed a group of bright Class VIII students from Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun, who are currently visiting Bhutan as part of an educational and cultural tour.
During their interaction at the Embassy, the students learned about the functioning and role of an Indian diplomatic mission, as well as the importance of diplomacy in strengthening relations between countries.
The discussion also focused on the longstanding people-to-people ties between India and Bhutan and the important role played by student exchanges and educational interactions in deepening mutual understanding and friendship.
The engagement provided the young students with an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the working of diplomacy while experiencing Bhutan’s culture and strengthening their understanding of India-Bhutan relations.
