New Delhi : External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar interacted with Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officers of the 2002 and 2003 batches undergoing the Mid-Career Training Programme (MCTP) at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service (SSIFS).
According to SSIFS, the Mid-Career Training Programme-III for officers of the 2002-03 batches commenced on August 17, 2026.
During his interaction, Jaishankar spoke about the evolution of India’s foreign policy over the past decade, beginning with the neighbourhood. He also discussed the key lessons that can be drawn from the unprecedented changes currently taking place across the world.
The interaction provided the experienced IFS officers an opportunity to reflect on India’s changing diplomatic priorities and the evolving global environment as they prepare to take on greater responsibilities in the Foreign Service.
