New Delhi : Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini felicitated the three best-performing PM SHRI schools and three top Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools in Haryana during the Independence Day celebrations, recognising their contribution to strengthening quality education in the state.
Among the PM SHRI schools, PM SHRI GSSS Gangwa, Hisar secured the first position, followed by PM SHRI GSSS Chakkarpur, Gurugram, in second place, and PM SHRI GSSS Palhawas, Rewari, in third place.
The three best-performing Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools were also honoured. GMSSSS Shahzadpur, Ambala secured the first position, GMSSSS Babain, Kurukshetra stood second, while GMSSSS Hansi was ranked third.
CM Highlights Role of PM SHRI Schools
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the PM SHRI scheme aims to strengthen existing government schools and transform them into institutions of excellence, providing students with quality education along with opportunities to develop skills, creative thinking and better learning capabilities.
He said Haryana currently has 251 PM SHRI schools and 218 Senior Secondary Model Sanskriti Schools, which are playing an important role in providing quality education and preparing students to meet future challenges.
The District Education Officers and Block Education Officers associated with the award-winning schools were also felicitated during the programme.
Schools Selected Through Merit-Based Evaluation
The Chief Minister said the selection of the best-performing schools was carried out through a merit-based process using predefined standards and objective indicators.
The schools were evaluated on parameters including infrastructure, teaching methodologies, learning outcomes, student performance, teacher capacity, co-curricular activities and school management.
Based on the assessment against these parameters, the top-performing schools were selected for the awards.
‘Every School Should Become Better’
Congratulating the principals, teachers and students of the award-winning schools, Saini said their achievements would serve as an inspiration for other schools across Haryana.
He said the government’s objective is to ensure that every school in Haryana improves continuously and every child gets an opportunity to progress according to their talent and potential.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that PM SHRI and Model Sanskriti Schools would play a significant role in advancing the vision of ‘Viksit Haryana–Viksit Bharat’ and strengthening Haryana’s education system in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
