Bhopal : The 3rd BRICS Culture Working Group Meeting was inaugurated in Bhopal with a ceremonial lamp-lighting, marking the beginning of deliberations under India’s BRICS Chairship.
Representatives from BRICS member countries delivered their opening remarks, highlighting India’s key priorities under the Culture Track, including the creative economy, protection of cultural heritage, and culture-led sustainable development.
Delegations from Brazil, China, South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Iran, Russia, and Ethiopia participated in person, while Egypt joined the meeting in a hybrid format.
The Working Group Meeting is being held ahead of the BRICS Culture Ministers’ Meeting and serves as an important platform to strengthen cultural cooperation, promote the exchange of ideas, and advance collaborative initiatives among BRICS nations.
The discussions are expected to further deepen cultural partnerships and reinforce the role of culture in sustainable development across the BRICS grouping.
