EAM S. Jaishankar Interacts with UN Envoys from 17 Countries Visiting India

New Delhi : External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar interacted with Permanent Representatives to the United Nations from 17 countries, who are currently visiting India as part of a study tour.

During the interaction, Dr. Jaishankar highlighted the importance of reformed multilateralism, saying that as the global order continues to evolve, there is a growing need for international institutions to better reflect the aspirations of the Global South.

The discussions also covered a wide range of global and strategic issues, including technology, maritime safety, UN peacekeeping, development partnership, and disaster response.

Dr. Jaishankar wished the visiting diplomats a pleasant stay in India and expressed confidence that the visit would further strengthen mutual understanding and international cooperation.
