Commonwealth Games 2026 Medal Winners Receive Grand Welcome on Return to India

Gurugram : Indian athletes who brought laurels to the nation with their outstanding performances at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026 received a grand welcome upon their arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal-3) in New Delhi.

Representing Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana Minister of State for Sports and Law Gaurav Gautam personally welcomed the medal-winning athletes at the airport. He presented bouquets to the players and congratulated them on their remarkable achievements on the international stage.

Addressing the athletes, Gaurav Gautam said their exceptional performances had made the entire nation proud and inspired millions of young Indians to pursue excellence in sports.

Congratulating all the medal winners, the Minister wished them continued success in their sporting careers. He also reaffirmed that the Haryana Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, remains committed to providing world-class sports infrastructure, training facilities, and all necessary support to nurture sporting talent and help athletes excel at the highest level.

India delivered an impressive performance at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2026, finishing with a total of 39 medals, including 13 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze medals, further strengthening the country’s reputation as an emerging sporting powerhouse on the global stage.
