Wellington: India’s High Commissioner to New Zealand, Muanpuii Saiawi, attended Medicare Onnichonam 2026, where she officially launched the Medicare Wellington website and commended the organisation for its contribution to strengthening the healthcare community in New Zealand.

Speaking at the event, High Commissioner Saiawi congratulated the Medicare Wellington team for building a strong network of healthcare professionals while fostering a vibrant sense of community spirit through its initiatives.

She highlighted the important role of community-led organisations in promoting collaboration among healthcare professionals and strengthening people-to-people ties between India and New Zealand.

The event was graced by New Zealand Minister of Finance Nicola Willis and Minister for Housing, Infrastructure, Transport and RMA Reform Chris Bishop, along with members of the healthcare fraternity and community leaders.
