Lucknow: Ahead of the commencement of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Monsoon Session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed legislators and underlined the importance of the legislature in a democratic system.
Addressing the media, the Chief Minister extended a warm welcome to all members participating in the Assembly session and described it as an important opportunity for constructive discussions on public issues.
He said that the legislature serves as a powerful democratic institution through which the concerns and aspirations of the common people are conveyed to the government and administration. He expressed hope that the session would witness meaningful debates and contribute to effective governance and public welfare.
Referring to the ongoing Kanwar Yatra, Yogi Adityanath said that lakhs of devotees have set out from Haridwar carrying holy Ganga water during the sacred month of Shravan. He said the state government has made comprehensive arrangements to ensure the safety, security and convenience of the Kanwar pilgrims.
The Chief Minister added that several special measures have been put in place, including traffic management, security deployment and essential public facilities, to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
