New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu met Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov Odilovich, at Rashtrapati Bhavan during his official visit to India, reaffirming the strong and enduring partnership between the two countries.
During the meeting, President Murmu highlighted that India and Uzbekistan share deep historical, cultural and civilisational ties, rooted in centuries-old trade routes and longstanding people-to-people connections.
The President noted that the visit of the Uzbek Foreign Minister provides an important opportunity for both nations to identify new avenues of cooperation and further expand their strategic partnership.
The two leaders discussed ways to strengthen collaboration across a wide range of sectors, including trade and investment, connectivity, energy, education, culture, technology and regional cooperation, while expressing satisfaction over the growing momentum in bilateral relations.
President Murmu reiterated India’s commitment to further enhancing its partnership with Uzbekistan and expressed confidence that continued high-level engagements would contribute to a stronger, mutually beneficial relationship between the two countries.
