New Delhi: Members of Parliament from Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House in New Delhi and apprised him of the prevailing flood situation in the two northeastern states.
During the meeting, the MPs briefed the Prime Minister on the impact of the floods and the challenges being faced by the affected communities.
Prime Minister Modi assured the delegation of the Centre’s full support in tackling the situation. He informed them that necessary directions have already been issued to ensure timely relief, restoration of essential services and all possible assistance for the people affected by the floods.
The Prime Minister reiterated the Union Government’s commitment to extending every possible support to Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland to facilitate relief measures, rehabilitation and recovery in the flood-hit areas.
