Mumbai: The Bombay High Court has designated courts in Aurangabad and Nagpur as Special Fast Track Courts to conduct trials of offences related to examination malpractice.
The designated courts will hear cases registered under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University, Board and Other Specified Examinations Act, 1982.
The initiative is aimed at ensuring the speedy and effective disposal of cases involving examination-related offences, including the use of unfair means, paper leaks, impersonation, and other forms of malpractice. By establishing dedicated fast-track courts, the High Court seeks to facilitate expeditious trials and strengthen the legal framework for safeguarding the integrity and credibility of public and academic examinations in Maharashtra.
