New Delhi: Delhi Police has dismissed as false a video circulating on social media in which an individual allegedly claims to be a Delhi Police Sub-Inspector who recently resigned from service to join an ongoing protest.
In an official clarification, Delhi Police stated that verification of its records found no Sub-Inspector matching the details claimed in the viral video. The force termed the video false, misleading, and an apparent attempt to spread misinformation.
Delhi Police further warned that strict legal action will be initiated against individuals found involved in creating, circulating, or promoting such fabricated content.
The police have urged citizens to rely only on official information released through verified Delhi Police channels and advised the public not to share unverified claims or misleading content on social media.
