New Delhi / Manila, Philippines: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held an in-depth review of India-Russia bilateral relations with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
During the meeting, Dr. Jaishankar reiterated India’s strong concern regarding the safety and security of Indian seafarers in the region and underlined the importance of ensuring their well-being.
The two leaders discussed various dimensions of the India-Russia partnership, including trade and investment, energy cooperation, connectivity, science and technology collaboration, and mobility-related issues.
Dr. Jaishankar and Lavrov also exchanged views on key international developments, including the ongoing Ukraine conflict and the evolving security situation in the Gulf region.
The meeting highlighted the continued engagement between India and Russia on bilateral, regional, and global issues, with both sides focusing on strengthening their long-standing strategic partnership.
