New Delhi : Amid the ongoing uproar in the Lok Sabha over the NEET paper leak issue, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the government is fully prepared to discuss the matter in Parliament.
Rijiju stated that for the past three days, the government has been making it clear that it has no objection to holding a discussion on the NEET paper leak issue. He said that since the first day of the session, the government has maintained that the discussion must take place strictly according to parliamentary rules and procedures.
The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that the timing of the discussion, its duration, and the rule under which it will be conducted should be decided after consultations with the Floor Leaders of all political parties.
He urged all parties to cooperate in ensuring the smooth functioning of Parliament, emphasizing that dialogue and consensus among stakeholders are essential for productive proceedings.
The Opposition has been demanding a detailed discussion on alleged irregularities and paper leaks in the NEET examination, while the government has reiterated that it is ready for a discussion within the framework of parliamentary norms.
