New Delhi : Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, along with several Opposition MPs, met Lok Sabha Speaker and raised concerns over the alleged police action against protesting students and the ongoing examination-related issues.
Rahul Gandhi said the Opposition’s demand is straightforward — that Parliament should hold a detailed discussion on the alleged brutality against students and the government’s accountability over the examination crisis.
He alleged that students were subjected to force while raising legitimate concerns about their future, and questioned the government’s response to issues affecting young aspirants.
Rahul Gandhi said, “If Parliament cannot discuss the future of India’s youth, what is it for?”
He further stated that the Opposition would continue to raise the issue both inside and outside Parliament, ensuring that the concerns of students are heard.
The development comes amid continuing protests by students and youth groups in Delhi over issues related to examinations, education policies and future opportunities.
