New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a strong attack on the Central Government over allegations of paper leaks and the police action against protesting students in Delhi.
In a video statement, Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government of being “youth-hostile” and criticised the government for not seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged examination irregularities.
Rahul Gandhi claimed that there have been 152 paper leak cases, affecting around 7.5 crore students, and alleged that no person responsible for these incidents has been punished.
He said the real victims of the examination controversies are the “hardworking youth” who prepare with dedication but face uncertainty due to alleged failures in the system.
Criticism Over Police Action on Protesters
Reacting to the protests in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi alleged that students raising genuine concerns over the education system were met with police action, detention, and force instead of receiving answers.
He accused the government of allowing those responsible for paper leaks to remain free while students demanding accountability faced action during demonstrations.
Rahul Gandhi said that the government is not only failing to address the concerns of young people but is also suppressing their voices.
The Congress leader’s remarks came after protests over the NEET UG examination controversy intensified in Delhi, where students and activists marched towards Parliament and clashed with security personnel during attempts to control the situation.
