New Delhi /Islamabad: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anita Anand, in Islamabad, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation between the two countries, International Media reported.
According to media reports during the meeting, both leaders reviewed recent developments in Pakistan-Canada relations and exchanged views on key regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to building a stronger and mutually beneficial partnership, with emphasis on expanding collaboration in priority areas.
Annual Review Mechanism Agreed
Pakistan and Canada also agreed to establish annual meetings to assess progress on commitments outlined in the Joint Statement and ensure effective implementation of agreed areas of cooperation.
The discussions highlighted the shared interest of both countries in enhancing diplomatic engagement, economic collaboration, and people-to-people connections.
