New Delhi : India and Egypt have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cultural cooperation, underscoring the growing strength of bilateral ties between the two nations.
Indian Ambassador to Egypt, Suresh K. Reddy, held productive discussions with Egypt’s Minister of Culture, Dr. Gihane Zaki, focusing on expanding collaboration across a wide range of cultural and creative sectors.
The talks centered on strengthening cultural exchanges, promoting joint initiatives, and enhancing cooperation in areas such as heritage preservation, arts, literature, and the broader creative economy. Both sides highlighted the importance of cultural diplomacy as a key pillar of India–Egypt relations.
The engagement comes in the context of India’s BRICS Chairship, under which both countries reiterated their shared commitment to advancing the creative economy and fostering greater people-to-people connect through cultural initiatives.
Officials noted that the discussions reflect a shared vision to further deepen cultural linkages and build stronger institutional partnerships between India and Egypt in the cultural domain.
