Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Discusses Industrial Cooperation with Air Liquide Group in Paris

New Delhi /Paris : Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman (@nsitharaman) met Mrs. Emilie Mouren-Renouard, Group Vice President and Executive Committee Member of Air Liquide Group (@airliquidegroup), in Paris today.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the role of companies like Air Liquide in key industrial sectors, including semiconductors, steel manufacturing, and hospital and healthcare infrastructure.

Mrs. Mouren-Renouard highlighted India’s growing importance as a strategic market for Air Liquide, and informed the Finance Minister that the company is actively focusing on leveraging India for exports through its wide range of solutions. These include industrial gases, medical gases, healthcare services, engineering and technology services, as well as sustainability and energy transition solutions.

She also briefed the Finance Minister on the company’s plans for further business expansion across India and appreciated the contribution of its Global Capability Centre (GCC), which supports research and development as well as artificial intelligence initiatives.

Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman invited Mrs. Mouren-Renouard to visit India and tour industrial sites, encouraging deeper collaboration opportunities with Indian industries operating in these sectors, including those linked to the semiconductor ecosystem.
