New Delhi : US Ambassador Sergio Gor on Tuesday highlighted the growing economic partnership between India and the United States, stating that Indian companies are planning investments worth more than $20.5 billion in the US across sectors such as technology, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.
In a statement shared on social media, the Ambassador said the investments reflect increasing business confidence and strengthening economic ties between the world’s two largest democracies.
He noted that 12 Indian companies alone announced investments worth $1.1 billion in the United States on the same day, contributing to expanding industrial collaboration and strengthening global supply chains.
According to the Ambassador, these investments are expected to generate employment opportunities in the United States while reinforcing strategic economic cooperation between India and the US.
He said the growing partnerships demonstrate how stronger business engagement between India and the United States can create mutual economic benefits and support long-term supply chain resilience across critical sectors.
