New Delhi / Texas: India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Kwatra, virtually addressed the inaugural session of the University of Texas at Austin India Conference, hosted at the McCombs School of Business under the theme “India at 100: Decades of Decisions.” The information is shared by the Consulate General of India, Houston, USA.

Commending the university and organizers for bringing together scholars, students, and practitioners, he highlighted the importance of academic and policy dialogue in shaping India’s long-term development journey toward Vision 2047 – Viksit Bharat. He noted that India’s growth story is being driven by informed decision-making that will guide the country’s transformation in the coming decades.

The Ambassador also emphasized that India’s progress in innovation and development will create mutual benefits for both India and the United States.

Separately, Consul General D.C. Manjunath participated in the session “The Growth Triangle,” noting that India–U.S. relations continue to strengthen across government-to-government, business-to-business, and people-to-people engagement. He also underscored the growing importance of India–Texas cooperation.

The Consulate General of India in Houston expressed appreciation to the students, faculty, and leadership of the McCombs School of Business for organizing the conference, and reaffirmed its commitment to deepening collaboration with academic and research institutions across Texas. The conference highlighted India’s evolving policy priorities and the expanding India–U.S.–Texas partnership.
