Gurugram : A district-level review meeting of the Revenue Department was held at the Mini Secretariat under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar, where progress of key revenue-related activities was assessed and directions issued for improved efficiency and transparency.
During the meeting, the DC conducted a detailed review of Jamabandi (land records), land demarcation, mutations, revenue collection, pending cases, and the status of the Modern Revenue Record Room. He directed officials to ensure timely and effective disposal of all pending cases to prevent inconvenience to the public and maintain transparency in service delivery.
Emphasising zero pendency, Ajay Kumar instructed that all mutation-related cases be cleared without delay. He also directed officials to expedite recovery proceedings in cases involving deficiencies under the Stamp Act. In instances of shortfall in stamp duty, he said recovery must be prioritised, including attachment of property of defaulters wherever necessary.
The DC further directed that pending cases in revenue courts be disposed of expeditiously on merit, stressing that timely justice to citizens is a key administrative responsibility and delays must be avoided.
Reviewing the Modern Revenue Record Room, he instructed officials to speed up the verification of digitised records already uploaded to the portal, ensuring both accuracy and transparency. He highlighted that while digitisation is important, maintaining data accuracy is equally critical.
Additionally, directions were issued to complete land demarcation (Nishandehi) using the ROVERS system in a time-bound manner to enhance precision and transparency in the process.
The meeting was attended by senior officials including SDMs Sanjeev Singla, Hitendra Kumar, Dinesh Luhach, Akhilesh Yadav, District Revenue Officer Vijay Yadav, along with all Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars.
