New Delhi :The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has stated that the United States has inflicted significant damage on the naval and air defense capabilities of Iran during Operation #OperationEpicFury.
According to CENTCOM Commander Brad Cooper, a total of 17 Iranian warships, including a submarine, have been destroyed so far. He added that no active Iranian naval vessels are currently operating in the Arabian Sea, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Gulf of Oman.
CENTCOM further claimed that Iran’s air defense network has suffered substantial damage during the operation, with hundreds of ballistic missiles, missile launchers, and drones reportedly destroyed.
Meanwhile, Iran has asserted that in response to the operation, it launched more than 500 ballistic missiles and over 2,000 drones, allegedly targeting civilian areas.
CENTCOM said that following the ongoing military actions, Iran’s operational military capabilities in the region are gradually weakening, while the US military presence and influence continue to expand.
