New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday welcomed the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, who arrived in India on a State Visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that President Stubb’s visit would further deepen cooperation and enhance relations between India and Finland across multiple sectors.
Earlier, President Stubb shared a message on the social media platform X, stating that he is visiting India on an official State Visit. During the visit, he is scheduled to meet the President of India, the Prime Minister, and other senior members of the Indian leadership. He also highlighted that the visit would help expand cooperation, particularly in trade and economic engagement between the two countries.
Responding to the post, the Prime Minister welcomed President Stubb to India and said that the visit would take India–Finland relations to new heights. He also expressed his eagerness to meet the Finnish President and attend his keynote address at the Raisina Dialogue 2026.
The State Visit is expected to boost diplomatic engagement and open new avenues for collaboration in areas such as trade, innovation, and strategic partnership between the two nations.
