Gurugram : Deepak Maini, Chairman of the Progressive Federation of Trade and Industry (PFTI), has described the budget presented by the Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini as historic and forward-looking, stating that it sets a strong foundation for Haryana to move towards a trillion-dollar economy.

According to Maini, the budget places significant emphasis on industrial expansion, promotion of research and development, and strengthening infrastructure, making it highly encouraging for the business and industrial community.

He highlighted the government’s plan to establish five waste-to-energy plants with a combined capacity of 25 MW across clusters including Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad, Ambala, Panchkula and Yamunanagar. Maini said the initiative will address waste management challenges while promoting clean energy generation and environmental sustainability.

Welcoming the health sector initiatives, he noted that the opening of new ESI dispensaries in Harsaru, Kadipur and Wazirabad, along with the proposal to upgrade the ESIC Hospital in Manesar into a 200-bed facility and establish a medical college, will greatly benefit workers and the middle class. He said these steps would significantly enhance healthcare services in industrial areas.

Maini also praised the proposed model road projects, including the construction of an elevated corridor, cloverleaf and five major flyovers on the Southern Peripheral Road. He said these projects will improve traffic management and connectivity, which in turn will attract investment and stimulate business growth.

He added that announcements related to expressways, metro expansion and new industrial clusters are expected to further strengthen Haryana’s position as a logistics and manufacturing hub. Additionally, incentive schemes for farmers, small entrepreneurs and other sectors indicate a balanced and inclusive approach to development.

Describing the budget as comprehensive and growth-oriented, Maini said it outlines a clear roadmap for accelerating development while maintaining fiscal discipline. He expressed confidence that the measures announced will play a key role in transforming Haryana into a modern, self-reliant and prosperous state.
