Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia to Represent India at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona

New Delhi :The Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, will represent India at the Mobile World Congress 2026, scheduled to be held from March 2 to March 5, 2026, in Barcelona. The Congress is one of the world’s largest and most influential gatherings in the technology and telecommunications sector.

During the visit, the minister will inaugurate the Bharat Pavilion at the event, offering a global platform to showcase India’s expanding telecom manufacturing capabilities and its rapidly growing innovation ecosystem. He will also unveil the curtain raiser of India Mobile Congress 2026, highlighting India’s flagship digital technology forum.

As part of the official programme, Shri Scindia will address the GSMA Ministerial Programme at the Main Stage Session titled “Built for What’s Next,” where global leaders will deliberate on future-ready digital infrastructure and emerging technology frameworks. He is also scheduled to deliver the Closing Keynote Session, “Breaking the Cost Barrier,” focusing on affordable, inclusive, and scalable digital connectivity models worldwide.

In addition, the minister will interact with global CEOs at a special CEO dinner hosted by India, underscoring the country’s commitment to collaborative innovation and trusted partnerships. He will also undertake focused booth visits and attend technology demonstrations by leading global and Indian companies.

During the visit, Shri Scindia will also attend the launch of the Tejas Networks T31600-D3 Hyper-scalable DCI Platform, marking a significant milestone in India’s advanced telecom product development.

The minister will further hold high-level bilateral meetings with key stakeholders from the telecom sector to explore cooperation in expanding universal and meaningful connectivity, as well as building resilient communication infrastructure.

Shri Scindia’s participation at MWC 2026 underscores India’s growing stature as a global leader in the digital and mobile ecosystem. Through strategic engagements with governments, industry leaders, and technology innovators, the visit aims to deepen international partnerships, attract investments, and strengthen India’s role in shaping secure, inclusive, and future-ready digital networks worldwide.
