New Delhi : Tensions escalated sharply in the region following a major Israeli military operation targeting sites inside Iran. According to reports, the operation—referred to as “Operation Roaring Lion”—involved Israeli Air Force fighter jets striking military and strategic locations in Tehran.
Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was reported killed in the attack. Several senior military officials, including Iran’s Defense Minister and the head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), were also reportedly killed.
In addition to Tehran, strikes were reported in other Iranian cities, including Qom, Khorramabad, and Isfahan. Government facilities were among the targets, according to preliminary information.
Missile activity was also reported in the region, including in Haifa. In response, Iran reportedly launched attacks affecting multiple countries in the Gulf region, including Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, where U.S. military bases are located.
Israeli military operations were reported to be ongoing as of this morning. Further details remain unconfirmed, and officials from both sides have yet to release comprehensive statements.
