New Delhi :  According to international media reports Israel carried out airstrikes on multiple cities in Iran, including the capital Tehran, early Saturday morning (Indian time), triggering heightened tensions across the region. According to reports, plumes of smoke were seen rising from several areas and loud explosions were heard following the strikes.

The media reports said that the Israel Defense Forces confirmed the operation, describing it as a “preventive attack.” Air raid sirens were reported in Tehran and other locations, contributing to an atmosphere of uncertainty and concern.

In response to the situation, Iran temporarily suspended all flights and cleared its airspace as a precautionary measure. Meanwhile, Israel has also been placed on heightened security alert, with evacuations reported in sensitive areas and authorities urging citizens to remain indoors.

The escalation follows earlier warnings from Donald Trump, who had cautioned Iran amid rising tensions. On Friday, the United States also advised its citizens to leave Israel immediately.

The latest developments have significantly intensified security concerns across the region, with the international community closely monitoring the evolving situation.
