Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by Observing Two Minutes Silence at Police Headquarters

  • On the occasion of the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, all officers and employees at the Police Headquarters observed a two-minute silence.
  • Following the ideals shown by the Father of the Nation is the true tribute to him – ADGP, Law and Order.

Chandigarh : On the occasion of the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, his ideals were remembered today at the Police Headquarters in Sector-6, Panchkula, and a two-minute silence was observed at 11 AM to pay tribute to him. Additional Director General of Police Sanjay Kumar and several other officers and employees were present during this time.

Speaking on the occasion, Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Sanjay Kumar said that the Father of the Nation showed the entire nation the path of truth and non-violence and led the country to independence through the path of non-violence. He urged all officers and employees to follow his ideals and said that if every officer and employee resolves to follow the paths shown by him, such as speaking the truth, walking on the path of non-violence, and performing their duties with complete honesty and dedication, it would be a true tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. He said that today we should all introspect and assess our actions so that together we can realize the dream of a strong India that the Father of the Nation envisioned.

Those who paid tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, included Additional Director General of Police, along with AIG Administration Himanshu Garg, AIG Provisioning Chandramohan, Superintendents of Police Nupur Bishnoi, Mohit Handa, Siddharth Dhanda, Superintendent of Police Security CID (Police Headquarters) Rajesh Kalia, and several other officers and employees.
