Gurugram : Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said today, Gurugram has become not only the pride of Haryana but also the engine of India’s economic progress. Haryana is moving rapidly on the path of development, which is the result of the strong leadership of the ‘double-engine’ government with Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi at the Centre and the State Government in Haryana. The Chief Minister said the objective of the government is to ensure balanced and inclusive development of the entire Haryana, whether urban or rural, and the government is moving forward with full commitment to this resolve.
The Chief Minister was addressing the Viksit Gurugram Maharally organised in Gurugram on Tuesday on the occasion of the birthday of Gurugram MLA Sh. Mukesh Sharma. On this occasion, the Chief Minister extended birthday greetings to MLA Sh. Mukesh Sharma and New Year wishes to the people present. He said that the government fulfils the promises it makes. He stated that out of 217 promises made in the Assembly election manifesto, 54 have been fulfilled within just one year, while work on 163 promises is underway. This is a government of the people. The resolve of the government is “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas”. He made it clear that leaving behind the politics of regionalism and casteism, the government is working with full dedication on the mantra of “Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek”. He assured that no stone would be left unturned in the overall development of Gurugram and continuous and effective steps would be taken to make it the most developed city in the country.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today inaugurated and laid foundation stones of development projects worth a total of Rs 113.64 crore in Gurugram. The inaugurated projects include works worth Rs 72.96 crore, comprising a multi-level car parking facility in Sadar Bazaar at a cost of Rs 55.20 crore and a community centre in Sector-14 costing Rs 17.76 crore. Under the foundation-laying works, projects include an RMC model road and drain in Sector-16 at a cost of Rs 8.32 crore, sewerage and drinking water pipeline in Sector-17A at a cost of Rs 6.28 crore, hostel construction work in Sector-16 costing Rs 6.67 crore, and special repair work in the new vegetable market costing Rs 19.41 crore. These projects will strengthen Gurugram’s infrastructure and further enhance civic amenities.

The Chief Minister said that during the 11-year tenure of the government, extensive development works worth Rs 1,909 crore have been carried out in the Gurugram Assembly constituency. Out of 67 announcements made for the area during the last 11 and a half years, 39 have been completed and work on 11 is in progress. He said equal importance is being given to environmental conservation along with development, under which small oxygen pockets and parks are being developed in the heart of the city. Terming pollution as a major challenge, the Chief Minister said that efforts are being made to control it through the operation of electric buses and modern waste management techniques. He clarified that the objective of the government is holistic development, the benefits of which reach beyond roads and buildings to the last person standing at the end of society.
CM announces a series of projects for overall development of Gurugram
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini made several major announcements for the overall development of Gurugram on the detailed demand letter submitted by MLA Sh. Mukesh Sharma. He announced that a new school building would be constructed at a cost of about Rs 4.90 crore at the Gaushala ground near Gurugram Police Lines. He also announced the construction of a new modern sports hostel in place of the old sports hostel at Nehru Stadium. Thirty Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will be started in Gurugram. Construction of the Civil Hospital will also be started soon. Announcing the upgradation of the PHC at Wazirabad to a 50-bed hospital, he said that this work would be completed as soon as land is made available. He also announced early completion of Maitri Van in Wazirabad village, allotment of a plot as per rules on application by a religious institution for Khatu Dham, construction of a city bus terminal in Sector-29, and development of a city bus depot and other facilities at the old bus stand after its shifting. In addition, announcements were made for a library in the Biodiversity Park, entry gates in the names of Guru Dronacharya and Mata Sheetla, a cremation ground in the Rajendra Park area, a community centre in Kamla Nehru Park, and construction of a community centre in Silokhra village subject to land availability. Sadar Bazaar will be developed as a smart market with all basic amenities, and work on more than 100 kilometres of smart roads will also be started soon.
Rs 5 crore each announced for development of Gurugram, Sohna and Pataudi Assembly constituencies
The Chief Minister announced an additional Rs 5 crore each for the overall development of Gurugram, Sohna and Pataudi Assembly constituencies. He assured that major and long-term projects are being undertaken to strengthen Gurugram’s drinking water system for the next 50 years. He said that the government is moving forward with full commitment to make Gurugram and the entire region among the most developed and well-equipped cities in the country.
Welfare schemes rapidly being implemented on the ground in Gurugram under the leadership of CM: Rao Narbir Singh
Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that under the strong and visionary leadership of the Chief Minister, welfare-oriented policies are being continuously implemented on the ground in Gurugram. He said that Gurugram is a rapidly growing city and keeping its needs in mind, systematic efforts are being made under the guidance of the Chief Minister to strengthen education, health and other basic facilities. He expressed confidence that the pace of development would not slow down in 2026, but would accelerate further. In the coming time, the people of Gurugram will receive many new projects in the form of inaugurations and foundation stones. He said that this campaign of systemic change would continue in the same manner, giving Gurugram a new identity in development, good governance and public services.
Gurugram and Haryana rapidly moving towards self-reliance under the leadership of CM: MLA Mukesh Sharma
The convener of the Viksit Gurugram Maharally and Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma said that under the visionary and strong leadership of the Chief Minister, Gurugram along with the entire Haryana is steadily moving towards self-reliance. He said that the tireless efforts, energy and clear vision of the Chief Minister are providing a new direction and inspiration to the youth of the State, enabling them to actively participate in development. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, the MLA said that the people are directly benefiting from his pro-people and decisive decisions. He informed that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, road construction work on revenue paths in a 900-metre area has already started, which will ease movement and ensure balanced development of rural and urban areas. He said that due to the development-oriented policies of the government, Gurugram is emerging as a modern, strong and self-reliant city and will scale new heights of development in the coming time.
