Bharat Maha EV Rally Flagged Off at ICAT, Manesar : World’s longest Electric Vehicle Rally completes 100 days

Manesar, ( Haryana ) : The Bharat Maha EV Rally, recognized as the longest electric vehicle rally in the world, achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing its 100th day and reaching ICAT, Manesar (Haryana). On this occasion, the rally was warmly welcomed by the ICAT family. The rally was flagged off from the ICAT campus by Madhusudan Joshi (DGM – Technical Head), Prashant Vijay (DGM – Operations), Pawan Thakur (Media Head), Pritam Singh, along with other officials and staff of ICAT.

The Bharat Maha EV Rally is being organized with the esteemed blessings of Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, and Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Commerce & Industry. The rally has received extensive support and participation from various stakeholders, including Chief Ministers, Governors, Central and State Ministers, large and MSME EV manufacturers, dealers and distributors, and renowned educational institutions such as IITs, IIMs, NITs, and universities across the country.

Key Achievements :

The rally has successfully covered 28 States and 8 Union Territories, including Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and is currently traversing through West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Nagaland, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir. Beyond India, the rally has also travelled to Bhutan and Nepal.

In various states and constituencies, the rally has been flagged off by several Chief Ministers, Governors, and Central and State Ministers. The campaign also received blessings from Dr. Mohan Bhagwat Ji, Sarsanghchalak (Chief) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), during a meeting at Mahal, Nagpur (Maharashtra).

Objective of the Rally :

The primary focus of the rally has been to :

-Create awareness about electric vehicles

-Address and remove myths and apprehensions related to EVs

-Demonstrate that long-distance travel using electric vehicles is completely feasible

The rally has clearly showcased the growing adoption of EVs and the continuous development of EV infrastructure across the country.

Activities Across States :

During its journey, the rally has visited hundreds of educational institutions and universities. Under the leadership of Dr. Rajeev Mishra, President of the International Federation of Electric Vehicle Association (IFEVA), the team interacted with faculty members and students at several IITs, IIMs, and universities.

Students gained firsthand experience of driving electric vehicles, actively engaged in discussions, and raised meaningful questions. Directors, Vice Chancellors, and senior officials of the institutions flagged off the rally, generating enthusiasm among students and faculty alike.

Objective and Impact :

Organized by the International Federation of Electric Vehicle Association (IFEVA), the Bharat Maha EV Rally aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current status of electric vehicles in India. By engaging with government authorities, industry stakeholders, educational institutions, and consumers, the rally is gathering valuable insights that will help shape future policies and initiatives for electric mobility.
