Workers will get a meal for Rs. 10 at Atal Shramik Kisan Canteen
Three new canteens will soon open for the convenience of workers in IMT Manesar
Gurugram, November 29. The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has operationalized two Atal Shramik Kisan Canteens located in Sector 4 and Sector 5 of IMT Manesar. The launch of these canteens marks a significant step towards strengthening worker welfare facilities in the region.
HSIIDC has identified a total of five locations in IMT Manesar under the Atal Shramik Kisan Canteen Scheme. Construction of the remaining three canteens is underway and will be operational in the coming weeks. This will enable more workers in the industrial area to benefit from these facilities.
These canteens are being constructed with CSR support from the industry and leading industrial organizations, demonstrating the industry’s strong commitment to worker welfare and social upliftment.
The canteens will be operated by Self-Help Groups (SHGs). This will ensure efficient management of the canteens and create new employment opportunities for local women and community members.
Under the Haryana Government’s Atal Shramik Kisan Canteen Scheme, workers will be provided with a nutritious and hygienic plate for just ₹10, increasing access to affordable and nutritious food in the industrial sector.
HSIIDC is committed to continuously improving worker-centric infrastructure in its industrial complexes. The launch of the canteens further strengthens this mission and is an important initiative towards improving the living standards of industrial workers.
