Zila Parishad CEO Sumit Kumar reviewed preparations at the venue and directed officials for the successful implementation of the event.
Award-winning athletes from across the state will participate in the inaugural event, which will conclude in Kurukshetra on November 8.
Various sports competitions will be held in nine districts, with four competitions scheduled in Gurugram between November 3 and 6.
Gurugram : The 27th Haryana State Sports Festival, a symbol of Haryana’s sporting culture and youthful enthusiasm, will begin today in Gurugram. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will inaugurate this state-level event at the local Tau Devi Lal Stadium late this evening. National and international award-winning athletes from the state will also be present. A spectacular array of cultural programs will be on display at the venue.
Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sumit Kumar inspected the Tau Devi Lal Stadium on Saturday to assess preparations for the State Sports Festival. He directed officials to ensure all stadium arrangements, including accommodation, security, transportation, medical care, and drinking water facilities for the athletes. He stated that the Gurugram District Administration has completed all preparations to make the sports festival grand and memorable.
The event is being organized under the auspices of the Haryana Olympic Association and will conclude in Kurukshetra on November 8th. During this event, various sports competitions are being held in nine districts of the state and Chandigarh, in which thousands of athletes from across the state will showcase their talent.
Hockey, handball, table tennis, and athletics competitions will be held at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium and Nehru Stadium in Gurugram from November 3rd to 6th. The Gurugram District Administration and the Sports Department have urged all citizens to attend in large numbers and cheer on the athletes.
