Gurugram : “Run for Unity” will be organized in Gurugram on Friday, October 31st, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Participation from all sections of society will be ensured in this race dedicated to the unity and integrity of the country.
ADC Vatsal Vashisht held a meeting with district officials in the auditorium of the Mini Secretariat today and issued necessary guidelines for the successful organization of the “Run for Unity.”
The ADC informed that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary on October 31st is celebrated as ‘National Unity Day’. Like previous years, this year too, Gurugram citizens will actively participate in the “Run for Unity.” Through this event, Gurugram residents will unite and pledge to uphold the nation’s unity, integrity, and brotherhood. School and college students, athletes, women, and ordinary citizens will enthusiastically participate in the run.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner stated that this run symbolizes national unity and dedication, with participants carrying the tricolor in their hands, conveying the message of patriotism and paying tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Additional Deputy Commissioner directed all relevant departments to complete all necessary preparations on time for the successful conduct of the event. He also provided necessary guidelines to the relevant departments regarding facilities for participants, especially drinking water, toilets, health services, traffic management, security arrangements, and cultural programs during the run, on the day of the main event at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Sector 38.
Additional Labour Commissioner Kushal Kataria, SDM Badshahpur Sanjeev Singla, CTM Sapna Yadav, ACP Traffic Satyapal Yadav, District Social Welfare Officer Sarfaraz Khan, District Sports Officer Aarti Kohli, MVO Harendra Veer and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
