Gurugram : The National Disaster Management Authority under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has invited online applications for the Subhash Chandra Bose Disaster Management Award-2026. An annual award named Subhash Chandra Bose Disaster Management Award is given to recognize and honor the invaluable contribution and selfless service of individuals and organizations. This award is announced every year on 23 January on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The last date to apply for the award is 30 September.
Giving other information related to the award, DC Ajay Kumar said that only Indian citizens and Indian institutions are eligible to apply for the award. Institutions, voluntary organizations, corporate entities, academic/research institutions, response/uniformed forces or any other institution can apply as an institution for the award. The candidate for the award should have worked in the field of disaster management in India such as prevention, mitigation, preparedness, rescue, response, relief, rehabilitation, research/innovation or EA work. The DC said that the application should be accompanied by details of the work done in disaster management. He said that in the case of an institution, Rs 51 lakh in cash and a certificate and in the case of an individual, Rs 5 lakh in cash and a certificate are given as award.
