New Delhi/ Tianjin : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached China on Saturday after seven years . He will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit being held in Tianjin from 31 August to 1 September. This summit is considered to be the largest so far.
After completing his two-day visit to Japan, PM Modi reached Tianjin late Saturday evening. Here he will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders of other member countries during the SCO summit.
Apart from the SCO Summit, PM Modi will also hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Putin. During this, the program of President Putin’s visit to India in December will also be discussed.
This visit of PM Modi is taking place at a time when the whole world is struggling with the tariff policies of US President Trump. Trump has imposed 50% tariff on India and 30% tariff on China.
The SCO Summit is going to be held in China from 31 August to 1 September. Leaders of more than 20 countries will participate in it.
After reaching China, Prime Minister Modi posted on social media platform X and said – “I have just reached Tianjin. I am very excited about meaningful discussions and meeting leaders of various countries at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit.” This visit is being considered very important in terms of India’s diplomacy and regional cooperation.
