New Delhi : On the second day of the monsoon session in the Lok Sabha, battle between treasury and opposition benches over the demand of discussion on Operation Sindoor continued . The situation was so tensed that the proceedings of the Lok Sabha had to be adjourned after just 2 minutes, while the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha had to be adjourned after 4 minutes. Both the houses were adjourned till 12 noon. As soon as the Question Hour started in the Lok Sabha, the opposition MPs started shouting and uproar . Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had to answer the questions raised by MPs but the opposition MPs stood up on their seats with placards and started protesting.

Shivraj with folded hands requested the opposition MPs saying that today is the day of the farmers. Out of 20, 12 questions are of the farmers. He said that in the farmer’s interest the Question Hour should be allowed to continue. Shivraj addressed the opposition that , ‘Let the questions of the farmers come. The government is ready to answer every question of the opposition. We want to present the government’s plan for the farmers today. Let there be a discussion on farming and farmers.’

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also repeatedly tried to convince the opposition MPs that there is a discussion on farmers. You do not want to let the Question Hour run, this is not right. Birla expressed displeasure over the noise and placards of the opposition MPs. There was uproar over this too, after two minutes the proceedings of the House were adjourned till 12 o’clock.

The same situation prevailed in the upper house Rajya Sabha. As soon as the proceedings of the House began, the opposition members started creating a ruckus. Here too Deputy Chairman Harivansh tried to convince the opposition members and urged them to remain calm, but due to the uproar continuing, the proceedings of the House had to be adjourned till 12 noon after 4 minutes. Even when the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha resumed at 12 o’clock, the uproar of the opposition continued and then the proceedings of the House were adjourned.
