On the call of Labor Law Advisor Association, Labor Department Interacts with Workers

Hundreds of Workers were given Information about Labor Welfare Schemes

Gurugram /Manesar  : In collaboration with Labor Law Advisor Association, Gurugram, an awareness program on labor welfare schemes was organized by the Labor Department at Select Holidays Resort Private Limited, Manesar. On this occasion, Additional Labor Commissioner of Gurugram NCR, Mr. Kushal Kataria was present as the chief guest. Addressing hundreds of employees in the program, he said that “Awareness is the means of attaining rights.”

Mr. Kataria said that the responsibility of the welfare of the employees is also of their institutions. He appealed to the employees to take advantage of the labor welfare schemes run by the government.

In the program, Deputy Labor Commissioner of Gurugram Circle-2, Mr. Naveen Sharma said that about two dozen labor welfare schemes are being run by the Labor Department for the workers and employees working in the industries. He told that women and male employees should get equal salary and the institutions should work in accordance with the labor laws on the safety of women employees.

Labour Welfare Officer Mr Narendra Sharma told the employees present in detail that Haryana Labour Welfare Board provides the benefit of more than 21 welfare schemes to the contributing workers and their dependents working in industrial and commercial institutions under the Punjab Labour Welfare Act 1965, provided their due contribution is regularly deposited in the Board.

Now all these schemes are accessible to the workers through online medium, under which the workers can apply through the website of the Labour Department or Antyodaya Saral Kendras.

Addressing the employees at the program, President of Labor Law Advisor Association, Gurugram and Labor Advisor Advocate of Select Holidays Resort, Mr R.L. Sharma said that due to lack of information, many workers are not able to take advantage of government schemes. He suggested that such awareness programs should be organized in every industry and institution from time to time, so that every eligible employee can get the benefit of the schemes.

Mr Sharma said that the Labor Law Advisor Association will continue to act as a bridge between the Labor Department and the industries, so that the benefits of the schemes can reach every employee.

On this occasion, COO and MD of Select Holidays Resort, Shri Shekhar Sawant welcomed the officers and employees present in the program and said that labor welfare creates a positive environment in the organization and this increases the productivity of the employees.

Senior HR Manager Shri Pawan Kumar, Liaisoning Manager Shri Pawan Maheshwar played an important role in the success of the program. On this occasion, a large number of resort officers and employees including housekeeping officer Vijay Bhatia, F&B officer Rajesh Nimboria, film actor Shri Raj Chauhan were present in the program.
