Gurugram : Municipal Corporation Gurugram is constantly monitoring and taking strict action to strengthen the cleanliness system of the city. In this sequence, Joint Commissioner Sumit Kumar conducted a surprise inspection in various areas of Zone-4 on Tuesday and took strict action against the agencies showing negligence in cleanliness.
Under the leadership of Joint Commissioner Sumit Kumar, many areas including village Wazirabad Dhani Road, Sector-52 and Sector-57 were inspected. During the inspection, garbage was found lying at a total of 40 places. Due to negligence in cleaning work and not following the prescribed standards, a fine of Rs 80,000 has been imposed on the concerned agency YLV Associates. Apart from this, garbage was also found lying in front of Appu Ghar in Sector-29, near the gate of Fire Station and Police Station, near General Dayal Park in Sector-28 and at 20 places in Sector-55 and Sector-56. Due to this negligence, a fine of Rs 50,000 was imposed on KC Enterprises.
Joint Commissioner Sumit Kumar said that the aim of the Municipal Corporation is to make the city clean, beautiful and healthy. He clarified that any kind of negligence in cleaning work will not be tolerated and it is mandatory for the concerned agencies to work according to the set standards. Such inspections will continue regularly in future as well. He also said that if the agencies do not do the cleaning work on time and properly as per the conditions and contracts set by the Municipal Corporation, then action can be taken against them up to termination of the contract. He also appealed to the citizens to maintain cleanliness around them and if they see garbage scattered anywhere, then immediately inform the Municipal Corporation.
