Gurugram : On Saturday, June 21, a district level program on International Yoga Day will be held in Tau Devi Lal Stadium located in Sector-38 in Gurugram district. Haryana’s Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh will be the chief guest in the program. In the same sequence of events, a yoga marathon will be organized in the stadium today on Friday. After this, pilot rehearsal will be organized.
DC Ajay Kumar said that officers and employees of various departments have been put on duty for the successful implementation of the event. HRERA secretary Anu Shyokand has been appointed as the nodal officer for this program. Preparations are going on in full swing for the district level International Yoga Day. In this series, a marathon will also be organized on June 20, which will start from Tau Devi Lal Stadium at 6 am and will end at Tau Devi Lal Stadium via Bakhtawar Chowk. After this, there will be yoga practice of protocol asanas.
District Ayush Officer Dr. Manju Kumari said that on June 21, there will be an International Yoga Day program with protocol yoga activities. On Saturday, this program will start at 5.30 am and during this there will be a message of Yoga Day from the Honorable Prime Minister and Chief Minister, which will be broadcast live in the district level program to be held at Tau Devi Lal Stadium. For this, LED will be installed in the stadium.

Dr. Manju informed that in order to ensure maximum participation of people in the event, the registration process has been started through a special online portal. Dr. Manju informed that so far 3 lakh 59 thousand 397 citizens of Gurugram district have voluntarily registered for participation in Yoga Day, which is the highest in the entire state of Haryana. This achievement reflects the increasing level of awareness towards yoga and health in the district.
District Coordinator Dr. Vikas from District AYUSH Department informed that programs are also being organized at the block level to commemorate International Yoga Day. In which MLA Bimla Chaudhary will be the chief guest in the program organized in Pataudi, MLA Tejpal Tanwar in Sohna and Gurugram MLA Mukesh Sharma in Farrukhnagar. Entry for the general public has been kept free in these programs being organized on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
