– Training camp organized in Sohna
Gurugram : With the aim of making emergency and disaster management more strong and effective, the district administration organized a one-day civil defence training camp at the Sub-Divisional Officer and Registering Authority Office premises in Sohna, in which volunteers from the sub-division area as well as school students participated enthusiastically.
The camp was organized under the guidelines of Deputy Commissioner and Civil Defence Controller Ajay Kumar. The aim of the administration is to prepare citizens for quick and effective response in case of disaster.
On this occasion, Sohna Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) Sanjeev Kumar addressed the participants and said that the role of volunteers is very important during emergency and disaster. Such training camps not only increase confidence in the youth, but also encourage the spirit of social service. We should make every citizen aware and train them in this direction.
The training was given as per the ‘Civil Defence Act’ of the Government of India, which included first aid, rescue techniques and practical information to deal with emergency situations. Experts from Red Cross Society and Civil Defence jointly trained the participants.
During this, the volunteers were given practice in first aid methods.
The volunteers who participated in the camp described it as a useful and inspiring experience. They said that this training not only gives them new information, but also provides an opportunity to serve the society in emergency situations.
The administration has appealed to the common citizens to cooperate in this disaster management campaign by joining Civil Defence. More such camps will be organized in future, so that every citizen can become helpful in times of crisis.
During this, Chief Warden Mohit Sharma, Surendra and Sandeep from the office staff of Civil Defence, Rohtash from Red Cross and Naib Tehsildar Suresh Kaushik along with other officials were present.
