Chandigarh : Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya appealed to the students and said that along with education, it is also important to have good conduct and thoughts. The personality will be as the conduct, thoughts and behavior. He said that the youth should contribute to the building of the nation with good resolve. Special participation of youth is necessary in the resolution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make the country a developed nation by 2047. Youth should always have big ideas and big thinking.
Governor Bandaru Dattatreya was addressing the annual day celebration of Technological Institute of Textiles and Sciences, Bhiwani on Saturday as the chief guest. He told the students that whether they become scientists or industrialists, but do not forget their responsibility towards the country, society, their land of work and birth. The land of birth is greater than heaven. He told the students that they must give their services in the rural areas for the development of the country. Education is meaningful only when we have a sense of service towards the poor and needy people.
He said that steel and textiles play a major role in the development of any nation. There are immense possibilities in the textile sector not only to get employment but also to become a big businessman. He said that by the year 2030, India’s textile exports will reach about nine lakh crore rupees. Not only this, more than three crore employment opportunities will be created in the textile sector.
The Governor said that TIT in Bhiwani was established by the famous industrialist and social worker GD Birla at a time when the country was surrounded by the dark clouds of the Second World War. He expressed happiness and said that this institute, established about 90 years ago, has prepared thousands of engineers, scientists, administrators, entrepreneurs and leaders who bring change in the society.
The Governor said that the contribution of this institute to the Indian textile industry is not hidden from anyone. Since its inception, this institute has played a cornerstone role in the development of the textile sector. Despite the global economic slowdown and various challenges, the institute has maintained its educational excellence. In areas like textile technology, textile chemistry and fashion and apparel engineering, this institute has not only raised academic standards but also prepared its students for the future through practical training and industry linkages.
The Governor called upon the students to work on innovation and study subjects including robotics, artificial intelligence, mission learning, data analysis and be curious to learn new technology. Wishing the students a bright future, he said that they should become big industrialists by taking degrees from here so that they can provide employment to others.
In his address, Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabuddhe, Chairman, National Board of Accreditation said that the purpose of technical education is not only to impart knowledge but also to generate innovations that improve society. It is very encouraging to see industry-oriented thinking and a sense of social responsibility in students. MDU Rohtak Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh said that education is meaningful only when it inspires character building, skill development and social upliftment. The energy and innovation with which the students here are moving forward is undoubtedly a positive sign for the nation.
Addressing the program, CBLU Vice Chancellor Prof. Deepti Dharmani said that an educational institution is like a temple. Education is not only for earning money or learning new things, but the aim of education should be to become a good human being. Famous industrialist and social worker Anil Jain, who was an alumnus of TIT, said that this institute had laid his foundation. The values, discipline and education he received here became the foundation stone of his industrial journey.
The director of the institute, Prof. BK Behera, while expressing gratitude to everyone, said that this institute is not only a center of technical knowledge but also a symbol of innovation, leadership and social responsibility. The aim of the institute is to create such an educational environment where students do not just learn the principles, but find solutions to the real problems of the society by applying them. The activities of the institute were highlighted in detail. During the program, the students presented wonderful cultural programs filled with patriotism and unity in diversity of the country.

Many exhibitions were also organized in the function, which were inaugurated by the Governor. The exhibition mainly included textile composites, geo synthetic, functional clothing, waste to wealth, sports wear, IoT smart irrigation system, world of textile fibers, remixing serial sampling, reconstructing applique heritage, safe tech. The Governor observed the exhibition and encouraged the students.
All the staff members and dignitaries of the institute including Nagaradhis Anil Kumar, Bijendra Lamba, Bijli Nigam SE, XEN Sanjay Ranga, Principal DP Kaushik, Dr. Manoj Sharma, Prof. Anil Yadav, Laxman Gaur, Aishwarya Sharma, Pramod Kumar, Kamal Sardana, Amit Kumar and Nitesh Kumar were present in the program.
