Chandigarh, April 9 : Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that all the students studying in government schools of the state will get books by April 15. Also, students studying in private schools can buy their books from any book shop, they are not bound to buy books from any one book shop.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini was holding a meeting with the officials of School, Technical and Higher Education Department here today regarding the implementation of the National Education Policy. Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda was also present on this occasion.
While giving instructions to the officials, the Chief Minister said that all the topics that have come in the budget speech for the financial year 2025-26 should be identified and work should be started at a fast pace. He said that we all have to raise the level of education by improving the level of education further.
Question papers and mock tests of the last 10 years will be uploaded on the website of the Education Board
The Chief Minister, while instructing the officials, said that the question papers and mock tests of the last 10 years of board classes should be uploaded on the website of Haryana School Education Board so that the students can study and benefit from it. Along with this, a committee should be formed to make necessary changes in the question papers of board classes under the National Education Policy.
Special attention should be given to cleanliness, greenery, painting, slogans in educational institutions
Shri Saini said that separate classes should be started on sports and cleanliness subjects in schools and cleanliness work should be done at the school level. He also directed that special attention should be given to cleanliness, greenery, painting, slogans etc. in educational institutions so that the students get inspiration by coming here. The Chief Minister directed the officials that no seat should remain vacant in any school under RTE, as well as no seat should remain vacant in any institute of higher education. He has made it mandatory for the first and second class officers to spend time in some government school every month and instructed to prepare a plan for it.
While giving instructions to the officers, he said that the National Education Policy should be fully implemented in the state this year. Work should be done to make the youth and students aware about this by discussing with them. Work should be done to strengthen the children from the school level itself regarding the National Education Policy. Along with this, the Chief Minister said that if the students and teachers do good work, they will also be encouraged.
A framework will be prepared soon for organizing Haryana Math Olympiad and visiting research centers
He said that to promote mathematical thinking among the students of the state, a framework should be prepared soon to organize Haryana Math Olympiad for the students of class 10th to 12th and to make the meritorious students of class 6th to 12th visit technical institutions like ISRO, DRDO and Bhabha Atomic Research Center.
While instructing the officers, CM Naib Singh Saini said that just as a portal has been created for tracking schools, a portal should be created for tracking higher educational institutions on the same lines. He said that if the colleges of the state had applied for the National Assessment and Accreditation Council and their application was rejected, then a list of such colleges should be made so that the deficiencies related to their rejection can be removed.
A college has been identified in every district to develop it as a model Sanskriti Mahavidyalaya
The Chief Minister was told that one college in every district has been selected to develop a government college in every district of the state as a model Sanskriti Mahavidyalaya. In these Adarsh Sanskriti Mahavidyalayas, special attention will be given to excellent educational standards, dedicated teaching facilities and student welfare. The Chief Minister also directed the officers to expedite the construction of buildings of new colleges being built in the state.
On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary of Higher Education Department, Vineet Garg, Additional Chief Secretary of Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Department, Vijayendra Kumar, Principal Secretary of School Education Department, Pankaj Aggarwal, Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Yashpal, Special Officer to the Chief Minister, Bharat Bhushan Bharti and Raj Nehru, Chairman of Haryana State Higher Education Council, Kailash Chand Sharma, Chairman of Haryana School Education Board, Pawan Kumar, along with senior officers of School, Technical and Higher Education Department were present.
