Departmental and bank officials should work with better coordination : ADC

Gurugram, March 19 : A meeting of the District Level Consultative Committee (DLCC) and District Level Review Committee was held in the auditorium of the Mini Secretariat under the chairmanship of ADC Hitesh Kumar Meena. In the meeting, the ADC discussed in detail about achieving the targets of deposits, advances and government schemes of the district, as well as bank-wise review of the approval and distribution of loan applications of various self-employment and entrepreneur schemes.

In the meeting, the ADC reviewed the progress of applications sent to the banks under the loan deposit ratio of banks, National Urban Livelihood Mission, Haryana Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation, Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Srijan Karyakram, Khadi and Village Industries Board, Haryana Women Development Corporation, KCC Loan, PM Crop Insurance Scheme, PKCC, PM Swanidhi, PM Mudra Scheme and Chief Minister Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana and gave necessary guidelines.

In the meeting, after reviewing the bank-wise applications submitted for loan to various banks of the district under government schemes during the third quarter ended in December of the financial year 2024-25, ADC Hitesh Kumar said that the success of government schemes mainly depends on public sector banks. Therefore, keep appropriate generosity in financing the schemes. He said that the pending applications should be executed as soon as possible. So that the desired progress can be made in the set targets of the schemes and the beneficiaries can take forward their economic development activities. During the review of the cases of the scheme, bank officials were directed to add as many people as possible to these schemes. For this, camps should also be organized by the bank in rural areas. He said that departmental and bank officials should benefit the eligible beneficiaries with better coordination.
The ADC said that everyone should make efforts to distribute more and more loans for agriculture and business in rural areas so that the information about the schemes of the banks reaches the last citizen of the society. He also directed the banks to benefit the eligible people by promptly disposing of the pending applications in the government sponsored schemes. During the review, he directed to take strict action against the poorly performing banks as per the rules.

Presenting the progress report of all the banks in the meeting, Leading District Manager Ashok Kumar Julaha said that as compared to December of the financial year 2023-24, 43 new branches have been opened by various banks in the district by the end of December of the current financial year. Now a total of 919 branches of various banks are providing their services in the district. At the same time, loans worth ₹ 33115 crore have been made available in the district with an increase of 23.66 percent in the MSME sector. Similarly, under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, a target of 500 loan applications has been set for the current financial year 2024-25, as compared to which 177 applications have been approved by the end of December, while 13 applications are still in the process of approval.

LDM informed that 91 awareness programs were organized till 31 December 2024 to make the citizens of the district aware of financial matters, in which about 4682 citizens registered their presence. Similarly, 303 applicants were trained under 10 different self-employment training programs by Rudset Institute. Under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, 131 out of 330 applicants in the district have been benefited. He informed that 1724 loan applications have been received in the camps being organized by the Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Department under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Credit Card Scheme in the district. Out of this, 898 have been approved and 825 have been rejected.

Lead District Officer Yash Bhardwaj from RBI, Cluster Head Vinay Kumar Tripathi from NABARD, Regional Manager of Canara Bank Chandra Singh Tomar, Director of Rudset Nirmal Yadav and representatives of government and non-government banks participated in the meeting.
