GURUGRAM : Lions Public School, Sec-10 A, Gurugram celebrated Mother’s Day on May 12, 2018, to pay tribute to Mother’s unconditional love. On this special occasion Primary Class students presented a lovely show dedicated to their Mothers. More than Sixty Mothers participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in various competitions designed for them like Mummy Ka Cooking Magic, Art on the Pot- Vase Making, Attractive Jewellery, Mom and Me – Bollywood Dhamaal. They gave a variety of presentations in the creative fiesta to make their children proud.
In ‘Mummy Ka Cooking Magic’ Nazia got First Prize, Sarita got Second Prize, Third Prize was bagged by G. Vaneja and Shrishty got Appreciation Prize. The Judgement was made by Dinesh Arya and Seema Syal.
In ‘Art on the Pot- Vase Making’, Nisha got First Prize, Poonam got Second Prize, Third Prize was bagged by Ms. Saroj and Ms. Suman got Appreciation Prize. The Judgement was made by Ms. Nirmal Chugh and Mr R. P. Mandal.
In another activity of ‘Attractive Jewellery Making Competition’, Sofia Sharma got First Prize, Sudipta Ghosh got Second Prize, Third Prize was bagged by Shalini Rao and Prachi Srivastava got Appreciation Prize. They made beautiful jewellery using vegetables and fruits. The Judgement was made by Aruna Behl and Poonam Gavri.
‘Mom and Me – Bollywood Dhamaal Competition’ was very enjoying and Reena got First Prize, Marjeena got Second Prize and Third Prize was bagged by Shikha Chhabra. Archana got Appreciation Prize for this competition . For this section the judges were Saroj Wadhwa, Uma Goel, Sr. Principal Dr. Neelima Prakash, Principal Ms. Renu Verma and Vice Principal Ms. Indu Kaushik.
The heart- warming gestures of their children gave immense joy to all mothers in this program . They were also overwhelmed to participate in the event with their mothers.
Before this at the beginning of this program Sr. Principal Dr. Neelima Prakash formally welcomed everyone and emphasized the importance of mother in grooming the personality of the child.
Manager, Mr. Rajiv Kumar addressed the gathering and requested all the mothers to give their best to their children. Mothers are the role model for their children and they have the deepest impact on the impressionistic minds of the children. He opined that Mother is the real and first GURU (teacher) of a child who gives them physical and spiritual shape for this world.
Lion A. C. Goel (Immediate Past Chairman), Ms. Uma Goel and Ms. Saroj Wadhwa graced the occasion and they highly appreciated the efforts of mothers.
Principal Renu Verma thanked everyone for making the show a grand success. After all the events, Prize Distribution Ceremony was held and winners were awarded amidst huge applause.
On this occasion, Co-ordinator Kiran Bala, Deputy Co-ordinator Anita Wadhwa and HOD English, Mamta Shridhar were also present and enjoyed the show.
